Welcome to the "Gone Crabbing" holiday cottage website.
Our well appointed holiday cottage is centrally located on The Bay , Filey , North Yorkshire .
We purchased "Gone Crabbing " in July 2021 after enjoying many family holidays at The Bay.
There is direct access from the site to the award winning beach which spans in both directions for miles .Walk to the traditional town of Filey , approx 30 to 40 minutes away .
Located centrally for Scarborough approx 9 miles , Bridlington approx 10 miles , Sewerby Hall , Flamborough Head plus many more ....

We can’t thank the property owners enough for sharing their beautiful home with us for our week away. It was everything we needed and more. Everything has been thought of in great detail and the extra little touches made it such a special place to stay. It is in a great location for access to the facilities and a short walk to the local beach. It’s in perfect condition and comfort and cleanliness was spot on. The kids had been thought of too and really enjoyed playing on the XBox and reading the themed books that were available. The welcome hamper was a treat! The owners were really accessible and communication was quick and easy too. We will be recommending this as a place to stay and will definitely be back (when it’s better weather) ;)

Thank you for sharing your beautiful property with us. The house was perfect in every way, our son especially loved all the 'gone crabbing' accessories around the house. The house is in an excellent position for exploring both the site itself and the local area. We hope to return again soon, and will definitely be recommending to our friends. Thank you again

Really , really enjoyed our stay at "Gone Crabbing" The accomodation is absolutely stunning and had everything and more. So clean and full of everything needed for the perfect stay. The hamper was lovely. Had great weather for our stay which brought out the best in what Filey has to offer. Stunning scenery. Used the leisure facilities which were great . 100 % will be returning ( if we don't buy one ourselves ) Daughters loved the crab theme and the sweets in the hamper . Keep doing what your doing . PERFECT!!!

We have had a lovely week at "Gone Crabbing " The house is perfect and so comfortable. The kids loved the welcome hamper too! We had a lovely meal at The Piebald Inn. A walk along the beach to Filey then caught the bus home. Scarborough as great for a day out. A trip to Flamborough head to see so many seals was a highlight ! The kids enjoyed the pool and a game off tennis . Would highly recommend and come again. Thanks

Fantastic cottage for a post Christmas getaway . Cottage surpassed our expectations with lots of little extra touches , we will be rebooking ! Excellent communication from the host Sally too !
